可以预计，Google maps APIs中将很快整合大中国区域的地图，这将给提供类似服务的灵图公司（51ditu）带来极大的压力，同时给利用API开发的中文站点带来很大帮助，国 内最早利用Google Maps APIs开发的地图维客站点EEmap(互动地图）则宣称，这是一个很大的机遇，也是一个挑战，预计使用google maps APIs开发的中文站点将爆炸式增长。

同时，百度公司（baidu.com)一位不愿意透露姓名的高级工程师称，百度也将推出类似Google Earth的软件，没有计划展开收购工作，但非常迎有能力的朋友加盟。而有先发优势的搜狐地图部门(Go2map)一直没有给大家带来较大惊喜，专家建议和百度合作。

Google TiSP (BETA) is a fully functional, end-to-end system that provides in-home wireless access by connecting your commode-based TiSP wireless router to one of thousands of TiSP Access Nodes via fiber-optic cable strung through your local municipal sewage lines.

Installing a typical home TiSP system is a quick, easy and largely sanitary process -- provided you follow these step-by-step instructions very, very carefully.

#1   Remove the spindle of fiber-optic cable from your TiSP installation kit. #2   Attach the sinker to the loose end of the cable, take one safe step backward and drop this weighted end into your toilet.

#3   Grasp both ends of the spindle firmly while a friend or loved one flushes, thus activating the patented GFlush™ system, which sends the weighted cable surfing through the plumbing system to one of the thousands of TiSP Access Nodes. #4   When the GFlush is complete, the spindle will (or at least should) have largely unraveled, exposing a connector at the remaining end. Detach the cable from the spindle, taking care not to allow the cable to slip into the toilet.

#5   Plug the fiber-optic cable into your TiSP wireless router, which has a specially designed counterweight to withstand the centripetal force of flushing. #6   Insert the TiSP installation CD and run the setup utility to install the Google Toolbar (required) and the rest of the TiSP software, which will automatically configure your computer's network settings.

#7   Within sixty minutes -- assuming proper data flow -- the other end of your fiber-optic cable should have reached the nearest TiSP Access Node, where our Plumbing Hardware Dispatchers (PHDs) will remove the sinker and plug the line into our global data networking system. #8   Congratulations, you're online! (Please wash your hands before surfing.)

In what countries is this service available?
TiSP is available today in the U.S. and Canada. Google has formed an international consortium of utility companies, sewage system experts, toilet manufacturers, and plumbers to develop solutions to the many problems facing all "dark porcelain"-based data-delivery innovators.

Can I use this service when I'm away from home?
Sorry, but no -- TiSP is not available outside the home at this time. We are, however, currently developing a mobile feature called TiSP on the Run (TiSPOTR), which we expect to make available in the near future.

I'm having trouble installing or using TiSP.
Your internet connection should be working within one hour of GFlushing the sinker. If you still aren't online after that period of time, your toilet may be clogged. Please flush three more times, then check your online connection again. If you're still experiencing problems, drop eight mints into the bowl and add a two-liter bottle of diet soda. For further assistance, please visit the TiSP Help Group.

Does my net access have to be wireless?
Not necessarily, but our user studies have found that without wireless connectivity, there was considerable "commode congestion" in an average 2.5-person household whose one bathroom typically can provide a comfortable workspace for just one user at a time. We therefore strongly recommend using the wireless connection to alleviate potential multi-user congestion and encourage widespread "couch computing."

微软出了一个大文件分享的服务，可惜不是网络存储的

forcode点评：微软的这个服务foldershare其实只是一个类似p2p文件夹共享，并没有太多新意，提供了一个类似goolge的firefox同步插件的文件夹同步功能，这一点还是有用的。希望google不久可以推出网络硬盘的服务，这取决于硬盘价格的持续下降。

微软网络硬盘FolderShare

微软的网络硬盘服务名为"FolderShare"， 提供有文件分享、文件同步以及远程访问电脑三大功能，你可以创建一个私人的 peer-to-peer网络（对等网络），帮助你在各个设备之间同步文件，和同事或朋友共享文件。你无需再用电子邮件发送巨大的文件，刻录到CD或 DVD然后邮寄，或者上传到一个网站，FolderShare 允许你和邀请的人立即共享和同步重要信息，使它成为个人和小企业应用的最佳解决方案。这个东西与之前谈到的Maxthon的Access功能雷同，也竟然雷同于幻灭前几天追踪的Google在线存储服务GDirve－Platypus项目 。为什么他们都在做这个呢？


Foldershare 首页定义自己为"Find,Acess,Share…your files anywhere"！使用Foldershare的服务，需要下载适合使用的客户端软件，然后通过客户端来注册自己的文件存储空间。运行软件，可以看到 foldershare三大功能：Sync My Folders（在多台电脑上同步文件夹）、Share With Friends（与朋友分享文件）、access My files（远程访问文件）。点这里可以看到网易学院的详细试用报告

微软Live FolderShare火热试用

2005 年微软收购了Foldershare公司，将其纳入到其最新的Windows Live服务中，7月中旬正式推出了Windows Live FolderShare Beta。FolderShare的技术提供了一个发送大型文件的方法，将允许用户随时随地在不同的设备上都能接入他们的信息。其特点是没有限制数量或大 小的文件传输以及可以用文件的原始格式同步和传输。

一、下载与安装客户端程序

登录www.foldershare.com后，会打开如图1所示页面。从其粗体显示的英文即可知道，此站点提供的是一种查询、存取以及共享远程文件的服务；虽然站点为英文，不过使用还是相当简单的，下面来看看具体的使用过程。

要使用网站的此项服务，需要事先下载客户端支持程序。单击页面上方的"Download"菜单项或者右下角的"Try It Free"按钮，进入支持程序下载页面；近而根据不同的操作系统单击不同的下载链接即可，如图2所示。

安装过程比较简单，待完成时会弹出账号申请与设置向导。初次使用应点选第二项，如图3所示；然后在如图4所示窗口里设定在foldershare网站里显示的计算机名。

然后在如图5所示的新账户信息窗口中，输入账户呢称、登录密码以及邮箱名，最后勾选 "icertify I am over 13 years of age"一项即可完成账户的添加。需要注意的是，登录密码必须以字母开头，而且勾选的项目也不能少；foldershare网站使用的登录账户名就是此处 填写的邮箱名，密码不是邮箱的登录密码，而是在此处自行设置。

二、基本使用

登录进入操作页面后，即可清晰的看到网站提供的三项服务：Sync My Folders（同步文件夹）、Share With Friends（和朋友共享文件）以及Access My Files（存取文件）。而在页面最下方，则显示出了当前设置完成的共享文件夹及共享计算机名，如图6所示。

1、同步文件夹

顾名思义，即是说通过在线方式设置了与本地计算机的共享后，当本地计算机相应的文件夹发生了存取文件的变化；当下一次再登录时，网站会自动更新当前共享文件。

需要注意的是，这种自动更新当前共享文件，当然是在本地计算机开启的情况下才能有效。而如果单击如图6所示页面右下方的"Add/Remove Devices"链接，则会停止文件夹的同步。

2、共享设置

此项功能为预先设置本地计算机需要远程共享的文件夹，以方便其他用户的访问。具体设置过程如下：

步骤1：单击"Share With Friends"按钮后，进入如图7所示页面。然后在左方单击本地计算机名，接着页面右方即会显示当前计算机所有文件夹。

步骤2：再单击需要设置的驱动器或文件夹，比如单击C盘；接着出现如图8所示页面。点选具体的文件夹，再设定共享名；最后单击右下角的"Next"按钮。

步骤3：接着是设定可以访问此共享文件夹的账户名（邮箱），通过单击如图9所示页面中的"Add New Email"即可添加；然后再单击向右的绿色箭头按钮。

步骤4：接下来还会弹出设定访问权限的页面，从右上角的下拉列表中选择好访问权限，再单击"Next"按钮即可完成整个设置过程。设置成功后的共享文件夹会在登录网站后，从其主页面下方查看到。

3、存取文件

单击第三项"Access My Files"按钮后，即可进行文件的读取页面。其页面和设置文件共享时类似，可以在线打开文件内容，也可下载保存后打开。具体操作根据页面提示进行即可，比较简单，这里就不一一详述了。

三、使用小结

foldershare网站充分体现了资源共享的理念，其页面设置上毫无累赘之感，而且设置 共享、文件存取速度也较迅速。其实现过程其实还是一个双向互动的过程，即是说：共享提供端安装好foldershare客户端支持程序后，再设定共享文 件、共享权限；并设置允许访问的账户；而另一端同样需要安装foldershare客户端，然后以允许的访问账户登录后即可实施相应的远程文件操作。

此过程需要通信两端计算机都在线，因为网站提供的只是一种远程文件共享平台，并不提供文件上传存储功能。不过其简洁明了的页面操作，也为远程共享开辟了另一条可行之道；应该说，此类服务还是相当实用的，比如适合经常异地办公的用户选用。

firefox也出手机版浏览器了，不过还没有opera好

我以前使用的手机浏览器有两款：
UCWEB和OPERA
两款都有S40版本，
使得我的nokia6108这种古董手机都可以浏览各种web网页，
现在firefox也出了手机版，
但是似乎不支持s40，只支持windows mobile系统：

给pdx广告系统提的三个建议

主编大人好：
    昨天才发现你们开放了广告功能，我已经试用了：

    总体来说很不错。提几个建议：
1、希望广告三的内容能够在每个帖子的页面出现，根据我使用adsense的经验，广告三的位置点击率最高。
2、建议增加对vogate这种内文广告的支持，由于pdx的大量信息都是文字形式的，内文广告比较适合。但是vogate的广告代码需要插入在</body>标签之前，不能放在</table>代码前，所以，建议能够增加一个放在</body>标签之前的广告框。另外， mybloglo.com的代码也要求插入在</body>标签之前，所以，开放这个广告框很有用。
3、另外，建议你们和feedsky合作，他们正在内测话题广告，对于pdx这样社区比较成功的BSP，话题广告应该是比较有前途的。

pdx居然开放广告功能了

我在很久以前，大概是2005年年底，就跟万碟主编说过，
建议他们开放用户添加html代码的权限，但是他们一直没有这样做，
我大概在半个月之前停止了更新pdx的博客：

因为这个博客我无法获得收入，尽管我的pdx博客有21万访问量，
但没有转化成为收入。按照google adsense的收益情况，
20万的访问量应该有70美元的广告点击。
万碟没有给用户开放放置自己广告代码的权限，
另外也不放置万碟的广告，这实际上是一种流量的浪费，
不过令人欣慰的是，我刚才无意中看我用google reader订阅的万碟主编博客，
发现他们居然开通了这个功能：
